I AM Elite track & field

MISSION

Our mission is to encourage and assist the youth to develop physically, mentally, socially and spiritually through a Competitive track program. We provide specific and individualized attention to the whole athlete while stimulating interest in, and encouraging the pursuit of, collegiate and advanced studies.

Our organization will strive to make a positive impact in the I AM ELITE Region through our “Commitment to Excellence”, both on and off the track. We will set standards of integrity, honesty and professionalism by providing high quality programs while empowering and

developing the future leaders of tomorrow.

GOALS

Through our involvement in Track & Field, athletes will:

• Improve their physical conditioning and learn skills related to Track and Field.

• Build a positive self-image as they recognize individual achievements.

• Improve their physical conditioning and learn skills related to Track and Field.

• Build a positive self-image as they recognize individual achievements.

• Be part of a team that encourages and promotes the development of friendships, support and

encouragement of fellow athletes, good sportsmanship and having a good time.

VISION

We insist that our athletes have Fun, strive for Academic excellence, model Sportsmanship on and off the field, and

run with Tenacity at practices and during meets.

OPPORTUNITY

We use our track program as an educational tool to teach youth athletes how to reach their full potential not only on

the track, but also within their communities and at school. As I AM ELITE coach’s work to develop athletes, we will also prepare them for youth’s highest level of competition, the United States of America Track and Field (USATF) Junior Olympics (JO) National Championships and the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) National Junior Olympics. Our athletes will compete at local, regional and National track meets during the spring and summer in preparation for the National Championships that take place in July/ August. As we continue training throughout the fall and winter a newer projected opportunity has sparked interest in running in the USATF Indoor state and National championships.

For our summer season, we will compete in meets from May through July in preparation for the USATF/ AAU JO National Championships at the end of July and beginning of August. Every year over 15,000 athletes compete at Nationals under media coverage. Since 2015, I AM ELITE sent a handful of athletes to represent Minnesota Nationally.
